“We stayed at Lansdowne Cottage for two nights. The location was excellent — a short walk to Bourton-on-the-Water with its riverside views, shops, and restaurants. The cottage was cozy and had helpful amenities like a washer-dryer and utensils, though some items needed washing before use. Towels were limited, and we had to reuse them during our stay. The main issue was the heat. We visited during a heat wave, and the cottage had only one small fan. Another was provided on request, but it wasn’t……

“It’s looks lovely in the pictures but a few things to note, the house looks “tired”, lightbulbs out, fridge smelt, floors and counter tops sticky,,tiles not secure on backsplash in kitchen.You could either have a “cold power shower” or a warm shower. Towels were stiff, no ironing board (sent email which took over a day to reply and told last guest had broken it, would have to wait a few more days to get one) only one useable in back yard as other one broken, outside cloth dryer broken, washing……

“Such a nice place to stay. Peaceful with lovely views. A short drive to pubs & shops. We were made to feel very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area followed by some cozy nights. The Christmas decorations were a lovely touch. We'll be back!”

“This is a lovely cottage and very cosy and warm. It's also near lots of attractions. It was very nice to be able to take my friend's dog who seemed to enjoy herself too. The main door was quite hard to lock and unlock as it's stiff but I broke my right wrist in August so that probably didn't help matters. The owners were very helpful. I would definitely recommend the cottage to others and I would certainly revisit myself.”

“Squirrel Barn was fantastic, we were two couples so great to have two bathrooms. We had everything we needed and wished we were staying longer. So quiet too which was lovely. ”
