“We were a small group of friends catching up over a reunion weekend. The house was perfect for us- clean, spacious, and with a very well stocked kitchen! Even better than the photos.The area and property itself are lovely, very quiet and peaceful. We even saw some deer walk by the dining room windows! We enjoyed the board games and the screened porch as well. Great communication with the host and an easy check-in/check-out. We are already hoping to stay again next year!”

“This was a great place to stay. The location was remote enough for our liking, but was also close enough to larger cities to make it easy to get to.We stayed in the shire suite and because I am a big Lord of the Rings fan it made for great ambiance, especially the big round door.We would love to stay here again in the future.”

“We had only booked for one night to go to family reunion. We will definitely consider returning. The space was very warm and welcoming. It is a great place if you have children (no matter what age) traveling with you. There are games and activities for all ages. There wasn't a kitchen so to speak but had all essential for breakfast and lunch, and a microwave to rehear a dinner. ”

“The house is charming and comfortable. We upstairs bedroom has a great balcony and jacuzzi tub. It’s a little off the beaten path but great for a weekend away for some hiking. ”

“Peaceful, relaxing, and near to everything. Will definitely be back. We definitely have the privacy we need and still being near everywhere we need to be. The drive is 30 mins to Shenandoa, 1 hr to Luray Cavern and 30 mins to Monticello. We went to winery around as well. Resort is very responsive. Our car is awd and has its own navigation so it worked out fine for us. No cellular service but wifi is great. ”

The cascading water along the stream was a highlight, and the surroundings so serene. We had everything we needed to cook meals, a huge table for game playing and even a speaker for music. “This was a great location and property for our 3 sons and their families. The outdoor space was perfect for a small pool and the grandkids loves the swing on the beautiful oak tree. Each famliy had there own sleeping space on each floor. A perfect place for large familes to meet. ”

“I highly recommend Shenandoah Hideaway. I stayed there with 3 friends for a weekend getaway of long distance hiking in the park. The location is very close to the park and the AT. The place has been updated and is very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to make big dinners and breakfasts to fuel our long day of hiking. The patio is gorgeous and view is absolutely stunning which was a great way to start and end your day. This place is a gem and I plan on returning again for another……
