When we first got there to check in, our room wasn't ready yet but we did get there 45 minutes early, so we sat in parking lot and ate McD's. When we were finally able to check in, we were given the wrong room accomodations as the room we booked was under renovation and the owner or manager never callled us about the change to the room reservation from 1 room to 2 rooms but our family was not able to stay together as planned in the same room. They did give us the 2nd room for free for our reservation, but they did try to accomodate 2 rooms next to each other but one of the rooms smelled like urine and we wouldn't stay in it. The hotel was an older hotel and they were currently undergoing renovations on the 3rd floor and half of the 2nd floor.
The rooms we were given...one of them had stains on the carpet and you could tell the other had not been vacuumed. The room that had not been vacuumed also had one of the lamp shades by one of the beds looked damaged, there was beard hair on one of the washcloths in the bathroom like someone had dumped beard trimmings from their shaver onto the counter and then wiped it with the washcloth. The staff did put in a light bulb and bring up clean washcloths to the room when we requested. I guess you get what you pay for here. The front desk attendant was very accomodating and helped us find rooms that were suitable for the 1 night stay. In the other room it looked like a fire or carbon monoxide alarm was missing.
