Beautiful hotel with gorgeous setting. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast is adequate. I didn’t appreciate the several mistakes about food charges. The staff is not as friendly and trained as in other high quality hotels. There is a beautiful river walk around the property that shouldn’t be missed. Great location for trips to Kilimanjaro and Kilimanjaro airport.

Amazing property, great customer service, awesome calming river behind our back door, delicious food (sooo good), and a pool with monkey's swinging around in the trees above. I liked that they don't have tv, I was able to rejuvenate and get work done in a serene environment. Highly recommended!

Nice and comfortable accommodation in the setting of a previous coffee plantation. Our garden room backs on the Usa River and there is a sitting area that one can sit and relax. The swimming room is just short walk from our room. Staff are friendly and nice. They offer turn down service and help to prep your bed net and spray the room to decrease mosquitoes in your room.

Rivertrees is a magical oasis of cottages nestled among the dense forest. A perfect place for R&R either before or after a safari (or both as we did). The staff is so so nice too.

Great property nestled conveniently between the Airport and Arusha. This is my “go to” place when I want to get away and unwind. The staff, dinning, and amenities makes this Lodge a true home away from home.

Great introduction to Tanzania

The perfect introduction to Tanzania - 30 minutes from Kilimanjaro airport. Spread over ten acres under towering trees and a creek side setting, the individual cottages were well appointed and very private. The freshly baked pizza and varied menu were delicious

Rivertrees was a lovely start to our exploration of Tanzania. It is located in Arusha less than a ten minute drive from the town and the National Park gate. Our first ever game drive was organized by the hotel and was very productive and exciting. They also organized transport for us from the airport and to our next property. While the latter was expensive, the location was very challenging and that was not the fault of Rivertrees or their contracted drivers. This property is beautiful including a gift shop with unique items and a pool. All the activities you could want were available and convenient to its location. I would absolutely stay here again when returning to Arusha.

The property was gorgeous, however there are a few negatives: 1. We set up an airport transfer with the front desk in person for a return stay after our safari's.. no one showed up and we were stuck at Arusha Airport until we realized no one was coming. 2. The pricing set around the hotel were inaccurate. On their signage around the hotel and room booklets it would show one price, but when it was time to pay.. the prices went up nearly 40%. So be aware.
