“My husband and I had a fabulous night at Daltons on Banana Island! The boat that ferried us across was complimentary and while the waters were choppy, we felt perfectly safe. Dress appropriately as your clothing will likely get wet! Daltons is rustic and simple. The room was clean and perfectly adequate. The meals were simple but tasty. We took a tour of the Island and learned about the Portuguese and British use of the Island as a slaves holding station prior to the middle passage. All in all,……

“The hotel description on the website is fake. The photos are fake. It's extremely dirty. The music is so loud every evening and night that it's impossible to sleep on the third floor. There are tons of insects, and there's a huge litter dump against the wall of the hotel. The TV in the room doesn't work. There's only cold water, and that's very poor. The power goes out constantly. The restaurant is closed. Staying at the hotel isn't just uncomfortable, it's life-threatening.”
