About this property
Views, Fire Pit, Hot tub, A/C, Decks,
Beech is the highest town in the eastern U.S., so the foliage peaks earlier and the nights turn crisp sooner. Hike or bike the Emerald Outback, drive the Parkway at its most colorful, then come back to the hot tub and a fire. Sugar Mountain`s Oktoberfest and Banner Elk`s Woolly Worm Festival are both a short drive out.
The Space — Designed for comfort and flexibility, and genuinely sized for groups and multi-generational trips. Home has AC/ Air Conditioning and is available year round, as well as a propane fireplace for your use. Main level — king primary suite with a private bath, and convenient laundry access. Lower level — a queen guest bedroom, plus a bunk room with a twin-over-full and a queen, and a full bathroom. Room for everyone, with space to spread out. The kitchen is fully stocked — full cookware set, coffee maker, and a dining setup that seats the whole group. Open-concept living with natural light, a cozy gas fireplace for cool mountain evenings, TVs throughout, and fast WiFi for streaming or remote work.
The Outdoors — where Spotted Fawn earns its keep. A private hot tub set in peaceful wooded views, two outdoor fire pits (one on the deck, one in the yard), and two spacious decks for dining and sunset. A flat grassy yard gives kids and dogs room to run — rare on this mountain.
Getting Around & Things to Know — Beech Mountain roads climb; from December through March we recommend AWD or 4WD, and it`s smart to be prepared for early snow at this elevation. Pets welcome. Hot tub is swimwear-only with test strips provided. Check-in 4:00 PM, check-out 10:00 AM. Must be 25+ years old to book, ID verification is required. Pet questionnaire for dogs.

We had a great great time with family - and the pup could come too! So easy to access the skiing, great location for a family gathering. Great amenities for cooking and AMAZING views.
This house was awesome. Really close to beech mountain resort but I would suggest buying tickets in advance. Everything was sold out when we got there. Also get groceries on your way end. Going up a mountain is not for the faint of heart. But the cabin was great. Spectacular views, plenty of deck space, clean, everything you need. Also deer everywhere! We loved it.
The house was very clean and well appointed. It didn’t quite hit 5 stars for us for a couple of reasons; the outside spaces were the selling point for us but none of the porches or fire pit chairs were cleaned. All were covered in pollen, leaves and spider webs. The other downside for us was just small inconveniences - dirty pots and pans, a ripped screen near one of the beds, a back door that wouldn’t open, etc. nothing that terribly impacted our stay but it was not the 10/10 “Exceptional” I had hoped for given the other reviews. I will say the host was fabulously responsive and very kind. It was still a great house and I would recommend it.
