Sometimes being a person of colour in Europe can be daunting but the hotel and Basel in general felt safe. Only slight feedback I would have is for cleaning, some used plates , mugs etc were not removed or cleaned and rubbish was not taken from the room ( we have accumulated it in a bag and placed it next to the dustbin as all of it would not fit in the bin). The staff weren’t super friendly on arrival. We sat outside on the patio on arrival (waiting less than 15 min for our check in time) and staff told us we couldn’t sit there (all the tables were literally empty). The room was nice and spacious, but the restroom was sooo moldy (you could smell it).
