Vi ville specifikt bo på Lotus eftersom vi fått det rekommenderat och det ligger vid Beihai Lake, ett vackert om än något tursitigt område. Vi hamnade således på Soluxe Courtyard Hotel, något som på pappret ser ok ut. Detta hotell låg 15-30 min gångväg från Beihai Lake men man kunde även gå 5 min och ta en buss. Rummen var små och trånga och luktade inte helt fräscht men det gick att bo där. Frukosten däremot var bland det sämsta jag upplevt. Har ätit bättre kinesiska frukostar i Thailand. Och de europeiska frukosträtterna var ett skämt. Juicen var som sås och man fick vara glad om kaffet inte var genomskinligt. Det som skulle vara varmt var nätt och jämt ljummet. Tror inte att personlaen åt den maten själva om jag säger så. Personalen i receptionen var ganska trevlig och det fanns en fördel och det är att hotellet ligger precis bredvid en tunnelbana. ##### Mikael ### 2/10 Terrible #### Miss ChaCha Sep 23, 2011 Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### Lotus Place Hotel The hotel was really awful. The pictures on the internet was not the same as the real pictures on the hotel. When we arrived we thought that we had come to the wrong hotel but unfortuantly we had not. The view from the hotel was awful, bascially looking into a garage. The room was so small (and we had still booked a deluxe room) that you almost got clastrofobian. The rooms, especially the bathroom was dirty. The elevator was about to broke down and the biggest joke was the breakfast. We had payed for a breakfast buffé but the only thing that was served at the breakfast was white bread, butter, marmalade, thé and coffe and nothing else. The only good thing was that it was located in the hutongs, an area that is really great to experience. But we are sure that you could found a better hotel located in the hutongs. Nutage is a great restuarng that we would recommend. I read several reviews that said people didn't like it there but the rooms and hotel were very clean and modern. The hotel and rooms were air conditioned and very cool. I was there in August and it was very hot and humid so the air conditioning was great. The hotel is right beside hohai lake which is a beautiful lake with lots of great night life. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was their breakfast. The breakfast was very simple. Cereal, juice, bread, and coffee. As far as a very comfortable, clean, and modern hotel....this is your place. Its about 15mins walk from the nearest subway station, but the area is gorgeous, really nice lake and lots of restaurants, pubs, cafes, shops, etc. The hotel has three floors (we asked to be on the third in checkin) and we had a nice view of the lake.. but i think from the 1st or 2nd floors view would not be great as there is a small (1floor) building and carpark between the lake and the hotel. The room was very modern, with nice lighting and the shower was lovely, really big and nice shower head. I have no complaints with the room, apart from the only mirror is in the bathroom. TV is all Chinese channels apart from english news and sport. no movies sadly. The breakfast was disappointing (really glad we didn't have to pay extra for it) all that is offered is Cereal, toast, coffee and juice.. hard boiled eggs were offered on one of the days. Apparently the hotel offers coffee, juice and cookies between 3-5pm, but we were never in the hotel at this time to see. I used the dry cleaning service and it cost me 2.70GBP +15% tax for one pair of shorts, which i think is a little expensive? although i dont usually use this service so have nothing to compare. Enkelt men med de man behöver och trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Nära till många barer och restauranger och ett livligt uteliv, men ändå tyst och lugnt. Le métro est un peu loin à pied (environ 20 minutes) mais que ce soit autour du lac ou dans la rue des deux tours, c'est plutôt sympa. Les chambres sont très propres, navettes payantes pour l'aeroport, les personnes de l'accueil parlent à peu près l'anglais mais quand même assez pour qu'on se comprenne. Globalement j'ai passé une semaine agréable dans cet hôtel, parfois un peu bruyant, mais globalement correct. The hotel service was really helpful, so there is no reason to complain at all. The Hotel itself is a silent and relaxed place. But when you go out you find a beautiful lake, lots of nice bars, cafes and restaurants in western as well as in asian style. When you walk around you find yourself easily in the mid of Hutongs in narrow streets. Only the way to the subway station is a little far, but you can find a taxi or bus nearby. You can't ask for anything better than that at that price in Beijing. Good stuff: 1\. Inside was nicely furnished. 2\. Great coffee (they have a Jura espresso machine in the dining area) 3\. The room was simple yet comfortable. The shower room was spacious. 4\. Location. Location. Location. Don't need to say more. 5\. Good position and not noisy at night. Hotel rooms clean and staff very helpful although only one receptionist spoke broken English.They did have a computer programme for translating any queries or questions. Allerdings ist das Hotel von Aussen nicht zu erkennen, da es in einem alten Bürogebäude untergebracht ist. Von aussen sieht es daher grauenhaft aus.
