Located just over an hour from Brisbane in the lush, leafy area of Bellthorpe, the Cottage is nestled in the green hills on a working farm, complete with its own rainforest, waterfall and resident wildlife. With 400 peaceful acres, the timber cottage is a great place to get away from it all and take in the atmosphere. Accommodation in the cottage is self catering with wide verandahs, a well equipped kitchen, queen size bed, single bed in a separate room, wood heater. Check out the wild life, discover the rainforest, take in the sounds of nature, rest at the waterfalls, take a walk around and explore, tour the district or just sit back and relax, but whatever you do, you'll enjoy the surroundings. Where? At Bellthorpe, in the hills, between Maleny and Woodford, Queensland. 1 1/4 hours from Brisbane in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. BELLTHORPE COTTAGE: Over 100 years ago, part of the property was opened up to become a dairy farm until some 25 years ago when beef cattle became the main agricultural pursuit. The remaining three quarters is natural rainforest and adjoins Bellthorpe National Park. The property is now a hide away retreat, well away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Walking tracks on the farm will take you through the paddocks, to the creek, rainforest, waterfall, Bellthorpe National Park boundary and to glimpses of the Mary Valley. The accommodation was perfect, a secluded cabin for absolute privacy with all the amenities you will need for your stay. This place is a gem if you need to get away, enjoy all nature has to offer, just relax and recoup. It is quite remote from the hustle and bustle of life but that’s what we wanted. It was nice to walk around the property but watch the leeches and ticks in the rainforest area. Be aware when you book that dogs must be on leash at all times. It would have been nice to have had somewhere we could have given our dog a good run without having to go off the property, but we were aware of this before we booked, so it was not a surprise. ##### Margaret J. 2018 年 12 月入住 5 晚
