Great property!

Perfect for our family of four. Had everything we needed, short walk and/or drive to the beach, and beautiful grounds. Pool areas were also very well maintained, and the splash pad was perfect for the kids.

Sea Colony - 4203 Rally

My wife arrived first and was given two keys. What she was never told is that the 2nd key served no purpose and you had to use one key for both locks. She only found this out after standing in the dark for 45 minutes while security came to help. No instruction about what to do with trash. Ants in the bathroom and kitchen. One soiled, stained chair. No handle on the refrigerator. Need I say more?

It was a nice condo at one time. Floors are soft and need stabilized. Ants were HORRIBLE! Little black ants EVERYWHERE! Two deck loungers were ripped and not usable. Ceiling above shower was peeling. Trim was not installed nicely, separating from wall in many areas. Biggest disappointment was no one told us about the tram. There were no instructions on what you can do in this condo complex. I guess you’re supposed to look at the map and figure it all out yourself. The ad made it sound like you could walk to the ocean, not really, it’s pretty far.

Great location, but needs much better cleaning

Let's start with the positives: Bethany Beach is a great place. Sea Colony is even better. It is such a safe, beautiful and spacious neighborhood. I recommand it to all. And we had just the best weather. The unit we were in however, needs a little love. A lot of things were broken. The fridge has no door handle, the chairs on the patio are mostly broken and the paint needs major refreshing, just to name a few. But my main issue, was the cleanliness (or lack thereof) of the place. The kitchen floor was filthy. There were two ant traps on the floor. Both were broken and had leaked. So the floor was covered in sticky ant poison, with dead ants and bits of food in it. The bathroom (particularly the shower) had not been thoroughly cleaned since the last occupants. I am usually not a difficult person. I always try to give the highest mark, but I must say the cleaning was a problem. Vacasa offered an appology, but nothing else. Invest a little in the unit and clean it properly and this 3 easily turns into a 5. As I said earlier, Sea Colony is just a great place. There are pools everywhere! One last thing: Try to arrive within the opening hours of the main office. Checking in outside the hours was a bit tricky. Hope these comments are helpful. Finally
