“This place is tired. The room smelled musty and the property is in desperate need of maintenance. The exterior had lots of tall weeds, etc. There are several other lodging options in the immediate area which may be better options.”

“Beds were very comfortable. Front desk attendant was nice and courteous. Aside from that, pretty unremarkable. Bathroom was not very clean and sink that is located in the room and not in the actual bathroom appeared old and weathered. Enough so that we avioded drinking the water from the faucet and used water bottles. It's a good place to stay if all you need is a bed. Being that it was a college football weekend, the prices were inflated, of course, because I would never pay that amount……

“For a quick stay in Ames it's perfect. I was concerned initially because of the ratings, but gave it a chance anyway. The staff I came in contact with were welcoming and helpful! The front desk gentleman was very attentive and friendly! There was a lady that worked the breakfast stations (I didn't catch her name) she was absolutely wonderful, personable and sweet. The rooms were very simple (not fancy), but clean (and I look at everything!!!) As a single female traveler I felt very safe there.……

“Room was clean. Problem with electric for fridge, microwave, outlets in that part of room. Pool was out of order. Staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast was okay, plenty of options. Parking was close.”

“I like the pool which is open till 10pm. Guests can still swim for late check in. There is no lotion only shampoo and conditioner. Bar soap is so hard to wash off so slippery just towel off. It might have so much moisturizer. There is a fly in the room. I like the beds and shower. The fridge is big, you can put enough food and drinks. Breakfast: there is cereal but no milk. Milk came when we are all done eating. Staff are nice .”
