Braulio Carrillo National Park Tours

If you're a booze hound who doesn't like wine and you're not a foodie, and you like to hang out in the pool all day and make lots of noise, this is the place for you. If you love nice wine (never mind great wine, just half-decent wine) and good food (never mind excellent food), this ain't it. The white wine was absolutely terrible in all the bars and most of the restaurants. There was a passable Frontera sauvignon blanc in two restaurants (Tokio and Krystal). The only good food was at Tokio, where the tempura, salmon and gyoza were pretty good. The rest of the food verged on godawful. The air conditioning struggled along in our room - couldn't cool it lower than 23 degrees. Most of the entertainment was embarrassingly bad, except for the odd band that played before supper. On the plus side, the pools are lovely, the facility is spotless, the staff are mostly very nice. The coffee shop Cappuccino was awesome: great coffee and cinnamon buns. The spa is decent. All that being said, we won't be back.

We had such a wonderful and relaxing stay at the resort. The staff were so kind and really caring to the kids. The food was top notch and comforting. Every day had a different theme. The drinks were great too. The property is set facing the beach and the views during sunset are really beautiful. The beach was sufficiently clean and looked like there were lots of activities you could purchase separately. One of the pools were being cleaned when we were staying. But the other three were great and also relaxing. The best part of this resort was that it was not over crowded. So you felt that you're being taken care of. Over all our family thoroughly enjoyed here. Would absolutely come back in a heartbeat.
