Great Ski Getaway

Perfect for an easy ski getaway for two; the location couldn’t be beat. Right on the slopes with town a short walk away. The unit had just the right amount of space and was very cozy.

September Trip

This was a short stay, but we enjoyed it. The condo was a little smaller than we thought it would be, but still comfortable. Communication with the property manager was very good and check-in was easy. Great location...quick and easy walk to town.

Great location, small space

Great location. Very tight space made for an odd furniture layout. I probably got more than six messages about late check-out not being available, even though I didn't ask for it, and not one message about the on-site spa being closed for renovation. That would have been nice to know about.

Spring break skiing

This is the second year in a row that we've stayed at this property and for a good reason. It's a great ski in-out location at the base of peak 9 and a nice short walk to downtown.

Great location, easy parking

While everything was clean and in good order, and the location was very convenient, it should be noted that the bedroom is extremely small - no real place for suitcases or the like. But, we didn't have any trouble dealing with that. For a short stay it was fine.

Condition

Not able to check in until 4:00pm on 1/3 and had to check out by 10:00am on 1/6. Not even 3 full days. Kitchen cookware needs to be replaced. Pool being accross the street at an different complex should have been disclosed. Only 1 working hot tub at the property.

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was in a good location and very clean. The only thing we did not know how to put the hide a bed away. We did not want to force it so we had to leave it up. Other than that it was great

Great location, tight quarters

Great location to walk out to Quicksilver. The check in process was easy. You get a code that opens both the building and unit doors. If you’re worried people will look at your code, just be sure to cover during entry. The load in was ok, there are carts and elevators. But there are a few stairs you need to climb in the lobby to get to the carts. The unit itself seems to be a studio that had a wall added to create a private bedroom. It’s tight with the hideaway bed open. But again you can’t beat the location. The kitchen had all the basics, but if you want any seasonings, bags, foil, etc best pack your own or plan to buy. The only other thing, the shower has the most powerful, needle stream I’ve ever experienced. We ran out of hot water a couple nights but we managed. All in all, it’s a decent place, but close to everything.

Couples retreat

It was beautiful but the toilet and shower drain are slow. There was construction across the way that was very loud at times. One of the hot tubs was closed, which is fine and understandable for repair but this wasn’t listed on description. It looked as if it had been closed for a long time.

Terrible

The bed was extremely uncomfortable. We attempted to move to the pulp out couch but it was all springs. Ended up sleeping on the floor. There was no water filter (or filter type pitcher). The water left us vomiting most of the night. Stay was so bad we left a day early.

First trip to breck

The overall stay was ok. The shower had standing water in the tub when it was running, that wasn’t great. Also a day we got back from a hike the room was warm and smelled of fire, the fireplace had kicked on. We had to call someone out to come and disconnect it after trying multiple times to shut it off. We requested a late check out of 2 hrs and were denied (not great for us). We couldn’t request until the day before. We request late check outs all the time when traveling and it’s never an issue so that came as a surprise.

Great location - property was fine, but expensive for what it is

The location was great - very convenient for skiing. It was clean and ready. I gave 4 stars for cleanliness because it wasn't dirty, but parts of the place were not in the best condition. Water damage in the bathroom, dated furniture, etc. Certainly got the job done, but I had friends stay at two different places right next to this complex and they paid much less and the rooms were quite a bit nicer. Additionally, it would have been nice to know the hot tub was broken (especially for a ski vacation). They provided a pass to another location's hot tub, but the idea of walking home after being wet isn't appealing. After seeing the place, at the same price point, I'd look for something different. For reference, a friend stayed in the same complex during the same time we did, but had a two-bed unit and paid about half of what I did (rented through Epic).

Amazing location but very small

The location is amazing, it's truly ski in ski out. However, it's on the "beginner" lift which on most days was VERY VERY long just to get up. The Beaver Run lift is 6 min walk and easier to get up the mountain. It's also a 5 min walk into downtown to all the great places to eat and shop. The unit is nice but very small. We were two people and it was small. I can't imagine more than two people in there. The unit is well appointed with cookware. It's the best we have had in all of Breck in years of renting. Only major complaint is that it was noisy inside. You could hear the neighbors and the people upstairs constantly. Laundry and trash were right out the front door. Ski lockers are okay but they charge which is very unusual. Parking is outside which compared to other places is not good. Also several times people parked there to walk to lifts so a few times we didn't have a place to park. They don't police who parks there and it takes up spaces during the day. Overall it's a decent place to stay.

Great location, rough around the edges

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Trails End is a great location for summer and winter activities, close to town and true ski-in/ski-out, but without the hustle of the Village or Beaver Run. This unit, 411, is cozy and quiet. There were a number of problems.- the fireplace runs off a thermostat which was marginal when we arrived and broke during our stay. - multiple light bulbs were burned out- the TV is old and a bit unreliable with speakers that buzz- the furniture was new in 2018, but feels much older- the kitchen is nicely designed, but the trim on the counter is coming loose- not the owner's fault, but the outside hot tub was unusable for 3 of our 6 nights thereAll that said, we would stay here again if they fix these issues, due to location, privacy, and just a friendly feel that Trails End has.
