Great "hidden jewel" ran by very nice people. Immaculately clean, private and nearby all pertinent necessities. Fairly priced too. I frequent the area often to see my elderly mom at her assisted living facility and have switched to staying here. I will be staying here again in 2 months :)

I love the Clarence Inn! Everything is always clean and ready for me. I was in the process of moving to the area and had stayed there many times before my move. Maria was always so sweet and helpful. It's not fancy, but very clean and a great location. I love the fact that it is local.

Great quite place to stay . Maria is very kind and available if you need anything. Staying for business, this is central location for all of the towns I travel too. Will definitely stay here again. Safe area.

Well kept older motel

Lovely older motel that has been well kept. Reminded me of staying in my grandma’s guest room-quiet, clean and cozy and a little dated-but who cares cuz you’re with grandma. Maria is so sweet and greets everyone with her smile and sweet spirt as she moves around the motel.

This motel was clean, with excellent bed-making service. Never saw a staff member or maid. TV had pixelating issues, although WiFi was generally decent otherwise. Coffee & tea is in the room, but Inn lacks central gathering place or ability to chat with anyone. I saw only one guest during my 3-day stay and he was getting his steps in by walking around the central building where the owners appear to live. No restaurant or bar is walkable from this location.

Could use a bit of an update and the rooms have more "stuff then necessary" but it was lovely... a couple hooks on the wall, take out the dressers and cupboard, put the TV up on a Wall rack, and you could easily put in queen beds and have a TON of room in the basic units, we love it, but it was tiny ... and our door was very sticky, the lock...

Great place!!

Such a throwback!! The Clarence Inn reminds me of the family motels from the 60's except the bed was sooo much more comfortable! Small room but comfortable, coffee pot, fridge and microwave...perfect ! Very clean and quiet...will be back!

Old, tired, but clean, safe and economical

The 'Clarence Inn' is a more gentle way of saying "Motel." It's older, tired, and has seen some wars, but it's also safe, clean and there's nothing 'wrong' either. Nothing wrong with the facility - the staff were polite in my limited interaction with them - but just be aware that you're getting an older, tired but safe and clean motel, and not a 'quaint, boutique, could have been a Hallmark Christmas movie' type facility.

This was all we needed, definitely nothing fancy and like all other reviews say the rooms are very dated. But it was clean and that's what matters. The lady that checked us in was so sweet. One couple did have the room with the bed with the frame that was bigger than the mattress and they said they kept hitting it. Otherwise we were happy.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Not having any contact with the office staff was a little off-putting but as we didn't need anything it wasn't a big deal. One big problem was the bed frame in room 2. It was made for a bigger mattress and the bottom of the approx. 3 inch metal frame extended beyond the end of the bed by about 6 inches. I tripped over it more than once (wthout falling.) You really need to correct this trip hazard before someone gets injured.
