"Lovely accommodation in a beautiful area though we were on foot backpacking and unfortunately there was no evening food available so we didn’t eat as it was a walk back into town.
Nice area to explore either walking or cycling and was very close to walk to the ferry on Rursee to go on to Rurburg. "

"Convenient to get to Merode. Unfortunately we stayed the night there was a large group also staying and there was a lot of noise. We were also mostly unable to use the kitchen because the group that was staying kind of took it over. Parking and access was a bit tricky, as another guest had parked in two spots, so we had to find a place a few blocks away. The keypad for the door was a bit sensitive. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable."

"Everybody should know that you have to read the little text of the booking carefully before coming to this hotel. They don´t speak other than germany and we did not manage to get anybody answering the phone. They require photo of you ID and of the credit card before coming even if you have paid the room in advance. Only then you get the code for the entrance and to your room. "Great stay at the Ameron Köln. Room was super comfortable, upscale and quiet. The Ameron really feels like a luxury hotel and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. I am not too familiar with Cologne, but while the location of the hotel did not appear to be right in the center of everything, it was only a 10 minute walk to a main street where we already had dinner reservations, and maybe a 10 EUR Uber to other areas. A major train line runs literally right by the hotel and was very easy to catch back for our return home from old town. So perhaps there may be better locations to stay, but regardless, I would definitely choose the Ameron for next time. I loved it!"
