“Oh dear. Having worked in hospitality and tourism for close to 30 years, I always try to find the positive when things go wrong but booking this apartment was a huge mistake. We arrived late on a Monday to find that it wasn’t the apartment that we’d actually booked on Expedia - it didn’t bear even a close resemblance - however we thought best make do and then speak to the agent the following day. Unfortunately by that point we’d found a seemingly endless list of snagging points including leaking……

“Large apartment in the centre of Genova with wooden flooring, two bathrooms (one en-suits) and a well equipped kitchen. Apartment was located on the second floor with lift (and few stairs in the corridor leading to it) It had all the facilities required for a short or long stay (including dishwasher and washing machines). Only downside for us was the check in process as we were told via automated we would get an access code via email but instead when we asked they said it was possible to leave……
