“We regarded this hotel as having a very high standard for a budget hotel. We had been staying in 4 or 5 star hotels, but really there was nothing we wanted. Our room was spacious and clean. The central piazza in the town is will worth a visit. We only stayed one night but we wanted to visit Fabriano because this was where the New Zealand Division in 1944 replenised it's numbers with soldiers from the Pacific - including my wife's father.”

“We stayed for just one night in the "Lu Magazzi". It was a beautiful room and looked like it had been very recently built. Everything was spotlessly clean and new. We enjoyed the breakfast with all the home produced products. We particularly loved the Torta di noci (Walnut cake). “What a wonderful, hidden jewel! If you are looking for a true medieval experience with all the modern comforts THIS IS IT! Right off the bus stop, Montecassiano is a beautiful medieval village, with a historic piazza, typical italian bars to grab a breakfast or apperativo. For dinner, I highly recommend La Taverna San Nicola across the hotel with a fantastic wine selection and a unique presentation of popular polenta dish. Well worth the trip!!”
