However, the overall experience was average. The room for two was quite small and rather dark, although it was clean and nicely maintained. The bathroom is in the typical Malaysian style, so after showering the whole floor becomes wet. A floor squeegee would really help. The towels had visible stains, which was disappointing. In the restaurant, many of the chair covers were stained. Breakfast options were limited for a European guest – mostly toast and beans. I tried some of the local dishes, but they felt too heavy for breakfast. On a positive note, the samosas and spring rolls were very good. Overall, it was an okay stay, but there is room for improvement. The whole building was similar with the biggest issue being noise from other guests, those above us must have rearranged the furniture several times a day. Also, noise echoed down the corridor. Breakfast was average at best. Overall, a clean, spacious, functional room but basic. It felt like a UK university halls of residence, just bigger and with an en-suite. Good place if you are on a budget."
