Barbreck Cottage is on the south side of Campbeltown Loch. It is conveniently placed close (1 mile) to the centre of Campbeltown with its full array of services, but has uninterrupted views over the water towards Davaar Island and Arran. Spectacular coastal scenery is only a short drive away in several directions. The house was recently refurbished and extended. The sitting room, dining room, kitchen and one of the bedrooms look over the sea. Barbreck Cottage sits in a walled garden with a sheltered space for sitting and eating outside.

View s from the lovely Bungalow are amazing.Davvar island which we visited.Also you can see the isle of Arran..Woke up to a beautiful sunrise each morning...The bungalow is very spacious, comfortable every thing we needed was there..Also in a great spot to walk into the town..

Great stay

This was our second stay at barbreck cottage and we had another great fortnight. Very comfortable and well-equipped house in a quiet location with fabulous views across the water yet close enough to town to walk there. We have bookedcagain for next year and can’t wait to return.

Lovely little cottage in a beautiful location

We had a great week in Campbeltown. The cottage was an ideal distance to town and great for exploring the area. There was plenty of room in the house and garden for the children to run around. The cottage is well equipped and comfy with a great collection of books.

Lovely spacious cottage in fabulous location looking directly on to the Loch

This property is extremely spacious, it has 3 big bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and would easily accomodate a large family.Everything you could need was provided and to top it off there were gifts left for us of wine, chocolates, ice cream and a bottle of milk.Lovely touches and great communication with both the housekeeper and the owner when necessary.Just a short lochside walk into the small town where there are a few pubs and eating places.All in all we feel this property is very good value for money and would definately recommend it!

Wonderful Week in Campbeltown

This home was perfect for our week's stay in Campbeltown. The setting is idyllic--I could not stop taking pictures out of every window, looking out past the sailboats toward Davaar Island--and the house was very comfortable. Beds were great for our three children (ranging in age from 14 to 9), and we loved the walk from the cottage into town. We hope to repeat this lovely stay in the future.

Perfect home away from home!

We spent the final week of a 4 week long trip to the UK at Barbreck Cottage. Everything was fantastic! We had plenty of room (actually more than we needed). The Primary Bedroom was bright, the bed and linens quite comfortable. The kitchen and living areas were also spacious and very comfortable. We were just a short mile walk from downtown Campbeltown and had everything we needed nearby. The view across the road of the Loch and the Island are beyond compare! We had a wonderful stay! They even accommodated my inept planning and let us move our entire stay ahead by one day. We were so grateful! We'll surely stay again when we return!!

Perfect cottage with lovely views - a real home away from home!

We have just returned home from Scotland and a two weeks stay in the Barbreck Cottage. My husband and I have absolutely enjoyed our stay there. The cottage is perfectly situated – walking distance to Campbeltown centry with shops and very good restaurants/pubs, lovely views over Campbeltown Loch, close to three wonderful golf courses – everything we needed. The cottage is very spacious, absolutely clean and very well-equipped - including kitchen. We loved to have an extended breakfast in the kitchen and watching ships coming in or going out, all the birds trying to catch fish and last but not least the (baby) rabbits on the lawn. We will be definitely be back next year and hope that by then the broken sitting room sofa will have been replaced (…the only “negative” thing…). The two new armchairs are perfect, but sometimes sitting on the sofa would be more comfortable.

Fantastic spacious cottage in a great location. Just a short walk to Campbeltown or Davaar Island. Great location from where to explore the islands. A short drive to Machrihanish beach, Southend and the Mull of Kintyre (with views to Ireland). We loved it and can only recommend.

Tolle Lage, sehr gute Ausstattung

Das Haus bietet viel Platz zum Verweilen und ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Beim Frühstück können Vögel beim Fischefangen beobachten werden. Durch den kurzen Weg zur Insel Davaar kann der richtige Zeitpunkt der Ebbe abgepasst werden. Außerdem ist Campbeltown schnell zu erreichen.
