Once you've been to all of the fabulous attractions in Centrum, there's loads more to explore in the surrounding region. Grab the keys to a rental car, toss your luggage in the trunk and hit the road. We've come up with some road trips you're sure to love:

• Head off to Amsterdam for a fantastic sightseeing experience. About 35 miles from Centrum, it's home to lots of great attractions like Van Gogh Museum.
• Your next stop? Make it Maastricht, which is around 90 miles away. St. Servaas Church is one local draw card you won't want to miss.
• Venture into nature and take in the serenity at Lauwersmeer National Park. You'll find it roughly 130 miles from Centrum.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Netherlands, then you'll likely need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be able to rent a car. Please also consider that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll need to show your current license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your license and passport. Some additional requirements for international car rentals are:
