There are so many things to do in Costa Esmeralda, but venture farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Rent a set of wheels and you can wander around the greater area at your own speed. Add these awesome drives to your list:

• Head to Arraijan for an excellent sightseeing adventure. Roughly 40 miles from Costa Esmeralda, it's home to lots of inspiring attractions like Bridge of the Americas.
• Approximately 60 miles away, Colon is also a favorite with wanderers. Make time to take in Gatun Locks while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love this city.
• Starfish Beach is 170 miles from Costa Esmeralda and is one of the region's most beautiful nature spots. Go for a wander around and enjoy the fresh air.
