There are so many things to do in Mexicali, but venture farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Organize a set of wheels and you can roam around the surrounding region at your own speed. Add these fantastic destinations to your travel plan:

• You'll find First Street and loads of other interesting attractions in Ensenada. From Mexicali, it's around 45 miles away.
• Approximately 35 miles away, Valle de Guadalupe is also a hit with travelers. Be sure to get to L.A. Cetto Winery while you're in town. It's one of the reasons people love this buzzing city.
• Malecón San Felipe is around 160 miles from Mexicali and is one of the region's most scenic nature spots. Stretch your legs and enjoy the fresh air here.
