"Attempted 3 peaks with my partner. We could only finish 2/3. This is a great spot if you know you will be finishing late in the evening. Great service, very friendly staff. Good breakfast variety options. Very comfortable beds, renovated clean bathroom. We will be back to make a second attempt at 3 peaks."

"Stayed with a friend, visiting Gaping Gill. Good size twin room. Very comfortable and quiet. Slept very well, not disturbed at all. Breakfast standard buffet and cooked. Staff really friendly, professional and helpful. Lovely garden at the rear. Didn't eat at the hotel."

"Lovely room, spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed Nice size bathroom with complimentary soaps, shampoos etc All rooms on first floor so could be an issue if you have mobility problems Royal hotel bar/ restaurant quite busy so would recommend booking if you want to dine in. Food quality was excellent and a great service given. Decent size car park across the road, always found a space to park even when it was busy in the bar I would have no hesitation staying here again if I am in the area"
