“I did not get to stay at the OVO, I booked the wrong date (my error), but having paid Expedia for insurance that would alow me to make changes to the booking, the venue wanted to charge a handling fee that was 100% of the room cost. seeing that it would have cost me the full room cost on top of whatever the actual day would cost me I decided not to cancel and to book elsewhere.”

The room had everything I required, a nice comfy bed, tea, coffee and biscuits along with a desk and chair.The bathroom is well spaced out with a wonderful powerful shower . The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. I strongly recommend a stay at the King Alfred.”

“The room was very dusty. There was brick dust on the bathroom walls together with cobwebs. There was dust stacked on the hand basin waste and mould on the curtains. To get hot water to the basin you had to run the tap for at least 10 minutes and you could not get any hot water to the shower at all. The car park was a joke....7 or 8 spaces for a 40 room hotel.”

“The location is perfect with easy access & a car park at the back (payable) & also a tunnel going through to the promenade, perfect for a stroll. The view from the bay fronted room was stunning; highly recommended. The staff are all very hard working but courteous at all times & can't do enough for you. The food is good & reasonably priced. “Property appears to have been recently made over, everything is new and fresh, extremely clean and although on the small side the rooms are perfect for overnight stays, comfortable bed and with more than enough tea/coffee supplies unlike a lot of places. The continental breakfast was excellent quality and plentiful. We could not fault the staff who were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall excellent value for money and we will definitely go back”
