“Just a warning, the snug is behind the bar owned by the same family. There’s a small driveway at the end of the bar a hairstyle place and some other little shops. The hotel was very quiet and comfortable. The rooms were huge and the bathroom is very nice and all brand new. In the morning we did have some toast and tea and it was nice to have the availability of fruits and vegetables and yogurt and so on for the free breakfast the host was very nice.”

" Our stay at Carton House was, unfortunately, far from what we expected. I caught COVID during the trip, and the extreme dryness of the room made everything dramatically worse — every swallow felt like swallowing crushed glass. Even after turning off the air system, the noise from neighbouring rooms kept coming through the walls. The dustpan and brush in the room were broken and frankly disgusting to use, especially around the bathroom. Breakfast was excessively expensive, and our first room (225) smelled like something was burning. When I asked at reception to change rooms, the young woman told me she couldn’t offer anything better because we were staying “too many nights” — seven nights, apparently, was too long to deserve an upgrade. My wife was five months pregnant at the time. Another staff member had to come to inspect the room. Thankfully, the man who eventually came — Philippe — was extremely kind, professional and helpful. He arranged a much better room for us (256), larger, more comfortable, with more storage and even two complimentary drinks. He also helped with the luggage. He did everything the receptionist refused to do, and I still don’t understand why. Even in the new room, a microwave was missing, and it wasn’t possible to open even a small window to get fresh air. The shower was tiny and had no handheld shower head, making it difficult to wash properly. The front desk girl was rather cold, and overall the reception team lacked empathy and warmth. "

"Lo mejor del hotel sin duda son las chicas de limpieza. No se les pasa un detalle en la habitación. El primer día del desayuno fue un poco desagradable porque la chica que estaba allí no paraba de hacer ruido con los cubiertos, no sé si los estaba limpiando, ordenando… pero cuando son miles de cubiertos juntos hacen un ruido horroroso y sinceramente nos amargo el desayuno, nos tuvimos que levantar e irnos. Desde mi punto de vista se debería de hacer el otro horario o cuando no haya nadie . Otra detalle que mejoraría sería el colchón. Por lo demás todo genial. El parking es gratuito. El hotel está muy apartado del centro, pero tiene muy buenas conexiones."

"Habitación muy confortable y camas excelentes. Tenían ya colocada la cuna para nuestro bebé. Buena combinación entre moqueta y cerámica en el suelo. Muy buena cocina y buffet del desayuno mas que correcto. El bar muy animado y con varios surtidores de cerveza. Mejoras: Faltaba la nevera en la habitación (el armario estaba vacío) y la luz del baño era un poco insuficiente. Por lo demás, muy contentos."
