Said that cabin I paid for on Hotels.com was not available. The owners felt bad for me and were going to get me lodging. First, stating they were putting me in a nicer property closer to my destination. But ultimately provided a room in motel further from my destination and way less expensive than what I paid for. I thanked them for the offer. ……

“Very cozy cottage in an excellent location. Parking was easy as well as communication with the host. It looks small from the outside, but inside was surprisingly roomy with a big bathroom and kitchen. There were four of us and it was comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!”

I was able to contact the host to check to see if a late check-in was ok. I received a quick response. I tried to reach the host several times after seeing the cabin provided didn’t match the description. There was NO response!! I wanted to settle this offline but did not have any response from the host after several……
