The property has no manned reception desk so when there is a problem there is no-one onsite. We had a problem with our safe as it would not open but found a welcome letter on the reception desk with contract numbers, and we were then able to get this sorted very quickly. Perhaps these letters should be in each apartment in advance of any problems. There is still the querky issue of there only being one sink in the apartment and being no drawers which took a short time to get used to. Be advised that there's no lift so carrying suitcases up and down twisty stairs can be very taxing. One problem that still remains after our first stay is that the television doesn't work after about 7pm when the signal seems to disappear. During the day it seems fine but of course you are out for most of the time. We did mention this last year but it's still the same. We were in a different apartment so cannot be related to that particular set. The apartments are modern and spacious and in quiet location quite central in Agia Marina. They are near shops, the beach and plenty of good places to eat. It is a small complex of 5 apartments so not noisy. This is our second time staying at Solar and perhaps not our last.

We had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. The apartment was thoughtfully equipped with just about everything we needed. The kitchen had a refrigerator, coffee maker, electric kettle, and was stocked with coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, dish soap, and shower gel, making it easy to settle in immediately. The shower was one of the highlights, with multiple spray nozzles that made it feel like a spa experience after a day of exploring. The bed was very comfortable, and the couch was equally comfortable for relaxing. We also appreciated the ample storage space, the smart TV, and the fact that you could comfortably watch it from either the bed or the couch. The outdoor seating area was a lovely place to unwind, enjoy the fresh air, and relax. We also appreciated the separate recycling and regular trash bins, which showed attention to detail and environmental care. The only minor downside for us was that the view from Apartment 3 overlooked a hillside that wasn't particularly scenic. There are also stairs leading down to the property and up to the apartments, with no elevator, but this is clearly described in the listing, so it was exactly as expected. Overall, this is a clean, comfortable, well-equipped apartment with excellent amenities and thoughtful touches throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay.

Top place to stay in Agia Marina, Chania

I can really recommend Solar Apartments. Very nice and modern design. Located in central Agia Marina just 5 min walk from the beach. The owners Anna and Giannis are very helpful and service minded. Just book it! Mats from Stockholm

Proche du centre et des plages d'Agia Marina mais au calme. Possibilités de places de parkings dans la rue à proximité de l'immeuble. Très bel appartement (4). Moderne, très lumineux, spacieux, bien aménagé, jolie décoration, belle douche italienne et un grand balcon avec vue. Bonne communication avec les responsables.
