Chatham Bars Inn is undoubtedly in a prime location and has all of the ingredients to be a great hotel. However, we stayed recently in the main building and the room (whilst ok) was very average, it looked tired and in need of a refurbishment - the bed in particular was disappointing and very uncomfortable (I invite anyone at the hotel to take a look). We did visit end of season and so the lack of staff and atmosphere at the beach house area was understandable. In summary before visiting we felt as if we had chosen the top hotel in the area (particularly given the price tag) however for us at least it fell way short of our expectations.

Chatham Bars Inn is delightful! It is a luxury property and stunningly beautiful. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. My daughter had to work remotely one day and they found a spot for her to park in one of the closed restaurants. So nice and accomodating!

Spa suite was awesome after we were changed from 603 (that had a generator outside the wall of the bedroom) to 604 (that had a serene view of the Zen garden), food was delicious but expensive, and staff was courteous. We were there off season, everything closed in the area, so nothing to do outside the hotel.

Our stay was everything you would hope it would be staying at a beautiful 5 star resort. The room was comfortable, beautifully appointed with upscale furnishings and the most comfortable bed. We had a gas fireplace in the room that kept us cozy and casted a warm ambiance for our stay. The hotel staff was great, location perfection. Exactly what we were looking for. I wouldn’t change a thing
