"The price point is good for a family with kids. Great for lake time or skiing (if winter) both being a short drive away. The cabin is functional and the bathrooms have recently been updated and the towels are they don’t go cheap on the towels which I appreciated. The kitchen is very small and very outdated but everything works and the kitchen is fully stocked. Nice that the house is pet-friendly. The living room is more outdated than it looks in the picture. "

"We stayed here while attending women’s retreat at nearby Christian Berets Retreat Center. So we didn’t get to enjoy our cabin time fully. But it was well stocked and had comfortable beds. The view of the stars from the deck was spectacular!! I would definitely stay here again. "

"Our stay was nice overall, but there were a few things that could have been better. The location and general vibe of the space were pleasant, but a few details impacted our overall comfort. With a little more attention to upkeep and communication, this could easily be a 5-star spot.Pros:    • Great location—about 25 minute drive to Pinecrest Lake, 15 minute drive to Black Oak Casino    • The space had charm and a nice aesthetic—multiple living rooms, large dining table and patio table    • Most beds were comfortable and all rooms were spacious      • All bedrooms have their own wall AC unit allowing for individual comfort       • Check-in was simple and instructions were clear for arrival and departure—we appreciated the early check in accommodation Cons:    • A few items were broken or worn down (grate on grill fell into fire when flipping food, grill burners didn’t light, extreme wobbly deck and loose deck safety rails—ultimately a SAFETY ISSUE)    • Ran out of propane on gas fire pit within an hour of use and were not provided with a spare until the next day    • The unit had a locked thermostat for the first floor so temperature downstairs could not be adjusted for comfort     • Only one garbage bag was provided for our Thursday through Sunday stay for a family of 11. Minimal resources were issued only upon request.Overall, we had a good stay, but there’s definitely room for improvement. "

"Our stay at this property was fantastic! The home was spotless, which immediately made us feel comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, making it easy to prepare meals. We were especially impressed with the thoughtful touches for families — there were plenty of toys that kept our kids entertained throughout the stay. The heating system worked perfectly, keeping the home warm and cozy. Most importantly, we felt completely safe during our visit. "Very cozy and spacious. It easily sleeps 8 people. The host was very nice and easy to communicate. He would keep us posted with the weather and instructions for the house. He let us check in and out without any time restrictions. The place is just 20 min drive from the dodge ridge ski resort. The place was very tidy and clean with the exception of the fridge and the microwave. I would strongly recommend it to stay. "
