Also just minutes from Alicia's Sugar Shack which we fully recommend to get your morning coffee and breakfast treats. Frank was very thorough and the house had everything we needed for our stay. It is a smaller cottage that comfortably houses 2 adults and 2 kids but we made it work with our 4 kiddos."

"The room was clean, very spacious and comfortable. The property is pretty new, but it’s not as affordable as other options in the area. One area to improve is the customer service at the front desk. Our room wasn’t ready so they said they would call us after 2 PM, nobody called then I had to call and she said oh we have a room ready. Poor communication, no friendly greetings at the front desk or overview of the property amenities."

"From some other reviews I feel like people may have unrealistic expectations. I see it as a place to shower and sleep, and it did just that! It's definitely got that vintage dated charm. Don't expect luxury. No breakfast, but the cute offer was either a frozen burrito or freshly made mini donuts which were delivered to the door. There were some suspicious hairs in the bath tub and the mattress and pillows weren't the most comfortable, but the room had everything I needed. It was super spacious, had a kitchenette with a fridge, sink, and microwave, and a large bathroom. It was just what you need to sleep and shower to stay to visit caves and Big Trees State Park."

""The property itself is nice, cozy, clean, and well-equipped. However, as two women traveling together, our main concern was tent security, as it could not be locked from the inside. This kept us from getting a good night's sleep. Additionally, our check-in experience was frustrating. Expedia failed to send instructions, no one answered the phone when we called the lodge to confirm, and there were no road signs guiding us to the property. We were worried it was a scam, but it turned out to be real and we had a good stay overall. Addressing these communication and security issues would greatly improve the experience.""
