You'll have sightseeing choices galore when staying in Barrios Unidos. Children's Museum of Bogota is a good place to kick off here, but there are loads of other worthy attractions to appreciate. Monserrate, Plaza de Bolívar, and Bogotá Botanical Garden are not far from the interactive exhibit for kids and will fill in your day nicely.
