Stopped in Chincoteague Va on our way home from the Outer Banks. The Anchor Inn was an adorable Inn. Clean and comfortable. Our room had a balcony that faced the sound and we enjoyed the Sunset and a beautiful view with your coffee in the morning. The Inn is part of Marina Bay Hotel & Suites, an Ascend Collection Hotel. We definitely will stay there again

The room was great and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff was very polite both at the check in and the check out process. Check in time is at 4pm. If staying at the Anchor Inn you must check in and out the Marina Bay front desk. The plus is that you can use the amenities at the Marina Bay hotel, and the Marina Bay also has a restaurant, bar, pool, and breakfast in the morning.

Location is great and rooms with balcony have partial dockside view. Kitchenette room has full size fridge. Pool is nice but not heated so a little chilly when we visited in may.

I had a wonderful stay at the Anchor Inn in mid-October. I happily used the microwave and mini fridge. My room was the furthest one up closest the docks and water and it was lovely to have my private patio to relax even when the weather wasn't cooperating. The bed was comfy. The room was clean. And even with the winds howling and it being chilly outside, my room felt secure and comfortable. The hotel is very close to the downtown area. You can walk or rent a bike. It is also very close to Assateague Island National Seashore. I went there twice during my stay and had some excellent hikes and saw amazing wildlife. So remember to bring your National Park pass if you have one! The staff at the front desk were very helpful with any questions I had. I had one small issue upon arrival and that was there were some ants crawling around on bathroom sink. That didn't freak me out because the season has been winding down and I'm sure that happens. The staff responded quickly and took care of the issue. One other thing and maybe it was just me, is I wanted to just cast to the TV to watch some stuff I normally watch and I couldn't see a way to do it. I didn't ask. But it was fine. I didn't really have a need to watch much anyway. I highly recommend booking here. It was a delightful stay.

I found it to be great value for the price. Wish I'd had enough time to enjoy the pool and fire pit, both looked very welcoming. The bar has happy hour, staff there are nice. Lots of variety at breakfast (though quality is basic). Nice view outside of the sunset. Wish they splurged a few more cents on better disposable in-room coffee cups/lids (lid fit is flimsy and cup bends - burning hot coffee ended up spilling all over me in the car).

The check- in was easy and the clerk very sweet and accommodating. We were pleasantly surprised after reading some reviews about broken showers and musty smells. Our room was SUPER clean and roomy-the bathroom clean and in excellent repair. The bed was very comfortable and we rested and slept well. The a/c ran constantly but it was super hot out so no problem. The room was very quiet though the parking lot was full. We did not use the pool, but it looked as though others were enjoying it. Check out was fast and again a nice clerk asking about our stay. We did not take advantage of the breakfast but again a lot of others were enjoying it. We will book again definitely.
