As others have said in their reviews, it’s convenient to the town - a 12 minute walk but far too hot to walk, so you can very easily get a tricycle and the security staff help with this. "Really nice stay. Staff were very friendly. Very central, just a walking distance from some very nice restaurants and bars. Very close to the Reggae Diving Centre where we did our diving course. Also have a nice bar, restauraunt and pool. Ended up staying here an extra 2 nights - would recommend to stay here."

"We stayed three nights are El Rio Y Mar Resort and wish we could have stayed a week. This resort is hands down the best resort we have stayed at in the Philippines. It's very secluded from the hustle and bustle of Coron yet close enough that you can still do the island hopping tours and excursions. "A small and pleasant accommodation with rooms arranged around the central pool, bar & restaurant. The cheaper rooms are near the road and are very noisy all night. The deluxe rooms are quieter and right next to the pool. All rooms have wet room style bathroom with shower / toilet. Good size pool and selection of breakfast options. Sometimes they asked us to select breakfast the night before and sometimes it was a buffet (we stayed over Christmas so maybe they were not fully staffed). Breakfasts...

I booked two rooms, same size and same date but was charged double for one of the rooms... on day 4 of our stay came back to room to get key and no key at front desk.
