One very confusing experience is they never mentioned an actual couple lives on-site and are the hosts. They came by when we got there and were very kind and accommodating. It just would have been helpful to know they would be there. The listing said it was entirely self check-in. ”

“Very lovely place for a stay at the west coast between Lisbon and Sagres. Beach, restaurants, shops, supermarket - everything is in walking distance. Friendly hosts who welcomed us with a full fridge. We enjoyed our stay in the nicely furnished and well equipped apartment very much and Villa Nova de Milfontes is definitely a place worth visiting - beautiful scenery and only moderate tourism.
