The host was right next door if needed. It was definitely an older house but it had a great charm. They had plenty of amenities for use to borrow for cooking to even having a doggy door to the gated backyard. The host was really kind and responded fairly quickly to all of my questions. This property had a great location, close to restaurants, grocery store, and the county fair grounds where we had our class. Owner was great and went out of his way to make sure we had all we needed for our two grandchildren (2 1/2, and 14 months). The re-modeled bathroom was lovely! The shower/tub was so handy for giving the kids a bath, and great pressure in the shower for us adults. The towels were thick, big and absorbent. This house was just what the two of us needed for our stay in Craig to tour Yampa Valley Fiberworks, a woolen mill that is just north of town. We also got in some birding at the river in the afternoon. The house was clean and ideal for our visit--it is amazingly dog-friendly and that was very appreciated. The large grassy yard is fenced and there is also a smaller secure area that is pea gravel; dog beds and bowls are in the house. The kitchen is incredibly cute and well stocked with any utensil or pan you need to cook dinner. The bathroom is new and gorgeous and the beds are comfy--cotton sheets, too.
