"We loved our stay there. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean. Great bathroom! Dyson hair dryer, heated bathroom floor, large, relaxing tub. Many places are walkable"
"A truly exceptional and unique hotel experience in the heart of Higashiyama. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special place to stay while in Kyoto.
A worthwhile destination in its own right, and absolutely wonderful hospitality and service. "
"This property exceeded our expectations! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay , staff was very helpful and loved how quiet the location was 10/10!! "
"What a gem!! We stayed for 4 days. Had to readjust our arrival and departure date at last minute due to typhoon Shanshan☹️. They even refunded our last day stay without asking as we had to leave a day earlier due to approaching typhoon. We arrived at midnight by train and the manager met us on site to welcome us and explain everything. Having a washer and dryer in one machine on site saved us! We would do a load of laundry every night and in the morning have clean clothes. Saved a lot of time...
"Amazing location, amenities, free perks, we even have our very own maiko show with free drinks, and the owners were very nice and happy to help with any questions. "
"My niece and I stayed here for one night to experience a traditional Japanese hotel. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. The room was very comfortable. The ryokan is within walking distance of many sights. I would highly recommend staying here! "
