“Beautiful house with great access to the lake. The neighbors were very friendly. The community boat ramp is not very good at all. I won't use it again. There is a public ramp (Crosby's) located about 10 miles by car and approximately 1 mile by boat, which is very nice. If you are parking a truck and boat trailer at the Cabin, you must be an expert at backing a trailer, as it is very tight.”

We have friends who live in Macon and they agreed we were in a great, safe location! The apartment was very spacious, immaculately clean and super cute! We had everything we needed. Nice touches like some snacks and coffee pods, guest toothbrushes etc were really appreciated. Great communication! “We had a great time staying at the Asylum house. I will not lie it was a bit scary driving up. Once there it was a blast. Walking around the old Hospital grounds. We think we got some voice box recordings. Did hear some screams, well we think we did. Saw the old Prison creepy for sure. Must go to the old cemetery. Could have used more towels, but that would be the only down side. So if your looking for a place that has a past, this is the place. Its a must see for sure. Thanks. John. ”

We didn't spend much time in the unit, bed was very comfortable, everything looked in running order, didn't use the kitchen, but countertop needed a good wipe down. Communication before hand and during stay was challenging, but worked out ok. Parking in back was sketchy , but you can park out front at night and enter that way, but i only found the entrance out front by exploring. I was told everything……

“The reasons I knocked off three stars were these: -clean towels were in the dryer and still damp the night we arrived/needed them (see photo of empty closet)-dishwasher had been run, but all clean dishes were still in the dishwasher-not back in cabinets or drawers which gave the initial impression that there was but one fork, one spoon, etc.-there was some disgusting sauce like substance on the hand soap in the kitchen and inside the silverware drawer. -we had no tissues in the house; 2 extra……
