Welcome to our charming and recently renovated home in Oak Park! With five bedrooms and three full bathrooms, our cozy retreat is perfect for families or groups. Relax on the deck with a built-in hot tub or gather around the fire pit for cozy evenings (bring your own kindling & firewood!). Inside, our newly remodeled kitchen features quartz countertops, open wood shelving, and stainless steel appliances. With ample space for cooking and dining, it's perfect for family meals or entertaining. Our basement offers another entertaining area, along with a work area featuring a full standing desk, dual-monitor setup with a dock, keyboard, mouse, and a comfy office chair! Conveniently located, we're just a quick 10-minute drive to the Ferndale and Royal Oak areas, and 15-20 minutes from Birmingham in one direction and downtown Detroit in the other. Whether you're planning a gathering or an extended getaway, our home offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience.
Enjoy high-speed WiFi, smart TVs in each bedroom + in our upstairs and basement living areas, a Keurig w/ French Roast coffee pods, a Nespresso w/ plenty of espresso pods, Memory Foam beds, fresh linens, in-suite washer/dryer, Solimo bath products, a fully-equipped kitchen, and an outdoor deck with a propane grill. Layout _____________ The main level of the home includes three bedrooms and two bathrooms plus a full set of laundry machines (stacked) along with the kitchen, dining room, and living room. Among those three bedrooms is the primary suite which features its own full bathroom, set of laundry machines, and closet. The suite can be closed off via a door to the main floor living room. The basement, down one full flight of stairs, features the workspace area with a standing desk setup, a separate entertaining / TV area, the pullout couch, another two bedrooms and another full bathroom, and the laundry room.
The backyard has a gorgeous deck-top entertaining area with outdoor seating, a fire pit (bring your own fire wood!), and the deck includes a dining table for 6 and our propane grill as well as our hot tub.
Arrive with Ease _____________ Enjoy a seamless check-in experience with keyless digital access. Check-in anytime that fits your schedule, after 4:00 pm. If you’d like an early check-in, shoot us a message the day before your stay. If no other guest is checking out, you’re welcomed to check-in anytime!
Rest in Comfort _____________ Sink into soft, plush memory foam mattresses, hypoallergenic down alternative microfiber comforter, crisp clean linens, and extra blankets for the winter in each of our bedrooms. Stay rested with blackout drapes in each bedroom.
Sleeping Arrangements _____________ In addition to the king bed in our primary suite and four queen beds, our basement couch pulls out to a full-sized sleeper sofa and we have a queen size air mattress as well! Plenty of extra linens and pillows are available to ensure groups of any size have a comfortable, restful stay.

Expectations _____________ 99% of guests are visiting family, friends, on a work trip, or just exploring town. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that:
We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.
We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.
Parking _____________ Please park in our driveway to the right-hand side of the house in our driveway, which fits up to four cars in tandem depending on size. If you need extra parking, there’s plenty of free street parking in front of the house as well!
Entry _____________ The unit is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the front door. Enter the unique code we'll provide you the week before your stay begins, and press the CHECK to unlock.
When leaving, enter your code and press the CHECK to lock the door.
Our Availability _____________ We are available whenever you need! Please feel free to reach out via the app or website you booked on with any specific questions. For any health emergencies, please dial 911. If a system malfunctions (i.e., hot water not functioning or a light has gone out), please send us a message on the app or website you booked on and we will be sure to address it in as short a time as possible (we usually respond within a few minutes). We also have handymen, electricians, plumbers, and landscapers with whom we work, so for any extenuating circumstances, we will happily bring them out to solve your issues post haste!
Extra Sleeping Arrangements _____________ Air Mattress: Designed for camping, our air mattress is extra-sturdy and provides a wonderful sleeping space for two. To inflate, please plug in the pump and wait for it to charge. Once the light on it is solid (not blinking), unplug the pump, insert the end into the air mattress, and flip the switch to inflate.
Pullout Couch: Underneath the horizontal seat you will find two fabric handles. Pull them out from under the couch and raise up the extra mattress section from underneath the couch. Remove the couch pillows to make space for two!
Extra Linens: Underneath the chaise section of the couch you will find four bath towels and four hand towels, four pillows, a comforter, and extra sets of sheets and pillowcases for the couch and air mattress. Message us to schedule a quick call if you have any issues!
House Rules _____________ We love hosting folks, so we want to be as respectful as possible to our wonderful neighbors. Since we’re in a quiet neighborhood, we do ask that you follow a few easy rules:
- No parties & no overnight guests without prior approval. If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know. - Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm. - Please leave your shoes at the door. - No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies. - No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky. - If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair. - Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help.
Our Neighborhood _____________ Located on a quiet street in Oak Park, you can find everything you need nearby in Ferndale, Royal Oak, and Birmingham including the best bars in Michigan, a ton of yoga studios, coffee shops, artist stores, and more! Also a quick drive to downtown Detroit, this is an easy and central location.

Getting Around _____________ For public transportation, the house is a 11-minute walk from public transportation on 9 Mile Rd! The most convenient stop is 9 Mile @ Scocia. From here, you can catch busses going east/west on 9 Mile which connect to routes all throughout Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb counties and will take you everywhere from St. Claire Shores to Ann Arbor to DTW International Airport! Lyfts and Ubers are also frequently accessible in the area for any urgent travel needs.
