"This house is just as advertised. It is as beautiful in real life as the pictures. Double bay is very quiet we could go a whole day without seeing anyone else on the beach. There was good snorkelling right off the beach. Great location to get to the restaurants in governors harbour..about 25-3o minutes drive away and the midway supermarket about 15 minutes away had enough food for home lunches and snacks. "We really enjoyed our stay at Cupid’s Cay. The setting and privacy are really what set this home apart. It’s on a very quiet lot at the end of a road (very bumpy though), right on the Caribbean. The snorkeling and kayaking in front of the house were a huge perk for all of us to enjoy, making us not even need to leave the house for activities. The house is close to plenty of beautiful beaches and a short distance to Governor’s harbour for restaurants and groceries. "

Oceanfront- Brand new Eleuthera house

Amazing view and relaxing stay

"Let me just say that the views from this lovely beach house can't be beat! Whether you're inside the house or out on the deck, the views are amazing! The beach itself is very secluded. We only saw 4 other people on the beach the entire week we were there. Very quiet and very relaxing which is what we were looking for. The house is very clean and everything you need is provided. Kitchen items, beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella etc. You will need to buy your own toilet paper, hand soap etc. The owner Barbi is very responsive to phone calls and emails. I had to call her once and email a few times and she responded right away. Now for the cons...keep in mind that these are my opinions only and may not reflect ypur opinions or preferences, and some are just things we weren't aware of prior to vacationing in the Bahamas which was our fault for not doing our homework ahead of time. We were not aware that they drive on the left side of the road which was a little scary at first but my husband got used to it pretty quickly. There are random speed bumps on the road which are difficult to see until you get right up on them so be careful. Everything is very expensive here and not every place takes credit cards so bring plenty of cash. The locals are very friendly and welcoming to visitors. We ate at 4 restaurants while visiting and here are my thoughts on those. 1648 was my favorite. Great views from the deck. The staff was amazing and so was the food. I ordered the shrimp and sausage"

7 bedroom Ocean Front in Double Bay Eleuthera with NOT heated pool

A Real Gem

"We had one of the best vacations ever at Sungate.The beach is gorgeous, and we had it entirely to ourselves. The near constant breeze and large shaded patio ensured it was pleasant to sit on the beach or poolside all day even in the middle of summer. We barely spent any time inside! It was so nice I even slept outside a couple nights so I could fall asleep listening to the waves and looking up at the stars.The house itself is well maintained, well stocked, spacious, and extremely comfortable. It's a great place to relax, and downstairs is set up with all kinds of fun activities.Marco and Yani are fabulous hosts. Marco immediately responded to all our questions both before and during our trip. He even reached out proactively to let us know about a short power outage on the island (which we didn't even notice because the house has solar panels and a battery backup). When we asked them if they had a karaoke machine they overnighted us one! We were fortunate enough to meet them on the last day of our trip and they're just as nice in person.Eleuthera is a wonderful place, and we'll definitely be returning. When we do, Sungate will be our first choice for where to stay."
