"The Mingood is an older style budget hotel that we have visited several times over the years and it still has many plus points over the newer “boutique” renovations in Penang. It’s certainly not fancy but the rooms are spacious, baths now replaced by showers, good WiFi and a/c, safes and a simple breakfast are all provided for a fair price. The staff are also very friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about their city."

"A very charming property that is just a short walk to the centre of Georgetown. Service was excellent from the moment we arrived until we left. We especially enjoyed the pool and the tasty breakfasts. We stayed in the Sultan Suite which was perfect for our family of 4.
