Less than half the lakeshore is developed, especially the Southern end, making one feel wonderfully cutoff from civilization! Mainguy's is one of the nicest or best camps on Branch Lake for its location and amenities just off Route 1, center lake location, deep water frontage with a dive tower (23 feet deep), small beach, lakeside fireplace and exceptional knotty pine interior with top of the line appliances, new beds, bar, Starlink Wifi & 3 large LED TV's. The year round house/camp was totally gutted from top to bottom and remodelled in 2015/2025 and is just 40 feet from the waters edge. Ideally designed for families or 2 couples as there are 2 separate indoor entertainment areas. There is 1 ground floor bedroom with a king & full bathroom near it. Level 1 has 1 double bedroom & 1 queen bedroom plus a 2 twins (bunk bed) bedroom with a full bathroom in the corridor. Level 2 has the master king bedroom which has a 1/2 bathroom next to it along with a loft across the suspended walkway hosting a double bed. The kitchen is completely remodelled with state of the art appliances, dual oven, 36 inch fridge with ice maker , dual gas stove and dishwasher along with a convection microwave oven. Hardwood flooring is laid throughout the 1st floor including the kitchen along with new wrap around quartz countertops. The house has all new linen and towels you will need along with all kitchen utensils and dishes. The ground floor has luxury vinyl flooring which can handle the sandy traffic in and out the sliding glass door to the sand beach . The hammock right near the dock is often fought over during the day or evening as a perch to watch the fire in the lakeside fireplace. Sunsets from the deck are magic! A very scenic 30 minute drive takes you into the famed Acadia National Park or towards Bucksport to start a must do memorable drive along the coastline down to Camden with all the roadside charm and antique shopping. In case you are short of space and require additional space or just more privacy, there is an optional very luxurious contemporary 2 king bed bedrooms apartment with ensuite bathrooms, kitchenette with dishwasher/microwave oven, 4 seat island, living room with 65" smart TV, and 2 terraces with great views over the lake. This would grant an extra 4 people to the 12 of the main house. Please message me if you'd like to inquire, receive more information on this apartment. Lastly, I just started to rent my other key home on Branch Lake in case interested. Look up "Waterfront, lake estate, reunions, 8 bedrooms, Acadia Nat'l Park, Bar Harbor". The beds were very comfortable and the large open living areas on multiple floors were great for entertainment during a couple days without great weather. The house was very clean and spacious as well. The owner and property manager were great to deal with and answered any questions we had very promptly! Our group consisted of adults & kids (7-11yr olds) and 2 fury friends. The backyard from the deck to the dock is where we spent most of our time, with the shallow water off the property edge an excellent spot for the kids to swim and adventure. The high jump off the dock was awesome as it's about 25-30' deep there. We also rented a boat from DownEast rentals who were great to deal with, provided a newer Pontoon for the week and the boat launch is directly across the lake (a kayak ride, or 30min car ride around the lake). We had a great week of fishing catching a ton of sunnies & bluegills, but also some awesome small mouth bass, lake trout and even an eel. Lastly, Peter and Jessica were great with communication throughout and helped answer any questions we had. Highly recommend for a nice R&R getaway! ##### M Q. We have rented here for many years and each time we have had a the most enjoyable vacations ever. The property is immaculate when we arrive and the property owner is always eager to make sure our stay is everything we could need or want. The sandy beach lakefront is accessible to all ages. The dock is equipped with a dive platform that provides hours of endless fun for all. There are kayaks, a paddle board and a canoe to use for fishing or just exploring the lake. We especially look forward to watching the sunsets over the lake from the dock. The kitchen is fully equipped and the barbecue grill is great for outside cooking. We ate outside most nights at the picnic table that had ample seating for all 12 of us. There is also a table inside off the kitchen that doubled for us a lunch table and card table. Downstairs has another seating area and bar with easy access to the lake. Rain or shine this property affords magnificent views of Branch Lake and the surrounding mountains. The property is close enough to allow for day trips to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Ellsworth is very close and has many great restaurants and small shops. There is always something to do at this rental. We have stayed at many other Vrbo sites over the years and this property is by far the best! The owner is very easy to work with and always wants to ensure we have a great time. We do these family lake stays with 10 family members every summer and this was the best one yet. Enough water toys for everyone - paddle board, kayaks, canoe, dock and diving platform, beach with kids toys. Such a beautiful location on such a clean lake. We had a great time playing in the water as well as easy access down to Acadia for hiking, running carriage trails, etc. The lake is super clean - it has a small area for little kids and a great platform for our teenagers to jump. This fit the bill and more. Enough room for adults, teens, and youngers to have space and also two gathering areas. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure our needs are met. The house is impeccably clean and stocked with everything renters need. It is spacious and the views of the lake are breathtaking. . The location of the house and the dock is perfect for fishing, canoeing, kayaking and boating. The beach is great for children to play on and they can easily wade into the water. .The wrap around deck with its picnic tables, benches and grill is great for family dinners overlooking the lake. Our family of 10 played card games in the evening, watched the beautiful sunsets from the dock and just listened to the loons calling from the water. Acadia National Park is just a 45 minute drive away and a great trip to experience wildlife and magnificent views. I highly recommend this property.
