Il personale e' molto educato e professionale, gentile e disponibile. La proprietaria, Giuliana, e' un persona molto piacevole che spiega bene la storia dell'immobile. “P&G is a boutique B&B with an arty theme and quirky rooms. Our room had a surprisingly comfortable round bed in it! We stayed for a couple of nights while exploring the wonderful hill town of Enna. “High recommend, owner made an effort to make sure we had everything needed. Very good restaurant on site maybe one of the best in town. This town has a free shuttle from the public parking lot and stop directly at the hotel and other stops in town. Parking is always my biggest issue with visiting towns in Italy and this gets an A+. Also, I left two bags in my car in the lot and they were still there in the morning so I felt it was very safe and secure.”

The Sicilian cannolo is one of the most famous Italian sweets in the world. Contrary to what most people believe, these delicious ricotta-cream filled wafers have been around for a long, long time. During his time spent in Sicily as a Roman queastor, Cicero fell in love with a predecessor of the modern cannolo. He described the dessert as a tube stuffed with a sweet, milk-based filling.
According to some accounts, however, the creation of modern cannoli came as a result of the Arabs who once controlled Sicily. This satisfying sweet was likely created inside a Muslim harem in the city of Kalt El Nissa, modern-day Caltanissetta. In this harem, the women spent their time preparing this delicacy.
In fact, it may very well have been on of these women who modified a preexisting Arab dessert made with ricotta, almonds and honey to fit Cicero’s description.
