"Hotel itself was great. Room was clean. Location cant be beat. Staff were very friendly. The only reason i rated it less than perfect had NOTHING to do with the hotel. Cannot stress enough—-the hotel was terrific! Heads up to travelers. The town of Portosin is nearly dead in the off season. The town (and many others in the area such as Porto Do Son) need to figure year-round activities to encourage ongoing tourism. "What a great experience we had at Balneario Acuna! The staff was so helpful and kind. We had messed up on our reservations and they immediately fixed it and got us a room hours before check in time. The grounds were gorgeous!! The pool was exceptional! We had the most relaxing swim after our long Camiño walk from Pontevedra. We decided to treat ourselves to a spa treatment called the Camino Pilgrims treatment. It started with a one hour soak in the most amazing jacuzzi pool with many jets and a tall flowing circular waterfall. There were also showers that had three different temperature options for your entire body. Unfortunately the bungalow that we stayed in didn’t have air conditioning but we woke up feeling rejuvenated from the spa treatment and enjoyed a delicious breakfast that was included with our stay. We would recommend this place to anyone!"

"Sea view room had an Emperor bed and overlooked the beach. Useful location for us as we have friends in Ribeira so a short excercise walk to the port and part of river walk around a beautiful area in the country. Superb staff especially our check-in receptionist who was there late evening and early morning"

"Check in was a bit delayed for a late check in. The front desk questioned me several times about the booking and I felt because I was dressed in basketball shorts and muscle shirt I was being judged a bit even after showing the itinerary as if I was lying. But once confirmed her attitude changed. Aside from that the stay was great. Spa and restaurant employees were courteous and helpful. Great buffet options and food was fresh and delicious. The spa amenities were very clean and updated. Outdoor pool areas very clean and well maintained. The curtain in the restroom window was not functioning properly to open."

"When we first got there, there was a huge industrial door and we had to use a buzzer to get in. We almost booked another hotel. However, the person running the place was quite lovely and let us out to a little cute pool area where we had a nice dinner that they delivered to us. However, we had to hike another mile or so outside of the city to get to the hotel would not stay there again."
