  • Recently renovated, Eco friendly barn, sleeping 10 in fifteen acres of beautiful unspoilt countryside within the Dartmoor National Park. South Cuma provides the perfect getaway for families or couples looking for that quiet rural retreat, yet surrounding themselves with luxurious home comforts. The owners have stylishly designed South Cuma with an abundance of downstairs living space, the open plan kitchen/dining/living room provides excellent space for entertaining with floor to ceiling height of 21ft in the living area and woodburner with flue, perfect place to relax of an evening in front of the fire with a glass of wine and a good book. The kitchen is exceptionally equipped, boasting from two electric ovens, grills and induction hob. For those coffee lovers, there is an integrated SMEG coffee machine - just remember to pack your coffee beans. At the other end of the barn is a cosy snug with yet another woodburner and TV/SKY HD. Evenings or rainy days can be spent in the Games Room where it has a full size Snooker table (Over 16's). Four good sized bedrooms can be found on the first floor all featuring exposed beams within the ceiling, the Master bedroom with its own staircase leads off from the living area. Garden views can be enjoyed from the freestanding bath within the master suite. From the other end of the property, stairs lead up to three further bedrooms. King-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a second King-size bedroom with access to en-suite shower room shared with the family bedroom, comprising of two double beds; great for a family with children or close friends. South Cuma sits within beautiful unspoilt grounds, featuring a good sized patio, outdoors dining furniture and charcoal barbeque. With no light or traffic pollution, just two neighbouring properties, it's the perfect spot for nature lovers and star gazers.


    South Cuma is just over two miles from Drewsteignton which sits in the valley of the river teign, the village benefits from a Post Office/Village Stores, Country Pub and gourmet fine dining Restaurant. The property is in the ideal location for those who love to explore, ramble and enjoy long walks along pretty, high hedge rowed country lanes and footpaths. Fingle Bridge is also two miles from the property, where a good food pub sits on the River Teign, providing excellent home cooked food, sunday carverys and breath-taking scenery. For those hot summer days, the river provides many bathing areas and river beaches; a great day out for all the family. Nearby, Chagford known for its vibrant local community, 15th and 16th century buildings, independent shops, eateries and largest freshwater fed outdoor swimming pool in Devon. Yet, the Cathedral city of Exeter is only 14 miles away.

    Bedroom 2 King size bed (5ft) with bedside tables and bedside lamps, mirrored double wardrobe, En-suite Bathroom (no separate door) bath with hand shower, wash basin and w.c.


    Bedroom 3 King size bed (5ft) bedside tables and bedside lamp, chest of drawers and door to Jack and Jill en-suite shower room (shared with bedroom 4.)


    Jack and Jill Shower Room access from Bedroom 3 and Bedroom 4. Large walk in shower cubicle, wash basin, W.C.


    Bedroom 4 Family room with two double beds (both 4ft 6"), chest of drawers, internal window looking down to living area. (This room can sleep 4 children or 2 adults.)

    Parking Private parking for up 6/8 cars


    Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £400, which is payable to Blueriver Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

    Power and Heat: Heating & Electricity included in rent. Ground Source Heat Pump. Woodburner in the Kitchen/Lounge/Diner and Snug (First basket of logs provided, further logs can be purchased.)


    Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels are provided. (Please bring your own beach towels.)


    Baby Equipment: 2 x Travel cot (dimensions 73cm high, 93cm long, 60cm wide) and 2 x Highchair provided at the property. Guests to bring their own linen for the travel cot.

    Notes: Please note, stag and hen parties are not permitted at this property. No Smoking. No pets. Starlink satellite Wi-Fi provided. Limited Mobile Phone Signal but Wi-Fi calling available throughout. Snooker Table for over 16s. 0.5 miles of unmade track to the property, not suitable for low slung cars/sport cars. Private water supply. Hot water supply may need to be boosted manually if using multiple baths and showers at once due to the ground source heat pump and limited supply. First basket of logs provided.
