“Great spot right across the road from the rocks”

“Carin and her husband and the rest of the staff at Oude schuur guesthouse were amazingly friendly and accommodating. They helped with getting us a car rental and made some excellent suggestions for dinner in the area. The breakfasts were delicious and fresh, the room was spotless with daily housekeeping. We would recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit the Hermanus area. The mountain views from our terrace were spectacular as well. Be sure to book several nights, because you won’t want……

As it was Christmas Eve she also reminded us that places close early and that we needed a reservation for restaurants nearby. The rooms were clean and cosy with fluffy duvets and pillows. “The hosts at Villa Venusta were warm and welcoming making us feel right at home after a long journey. A lovely room with a nice terrace to sit outside. A very comfortable bed, everything was spotlessly clean and shiny. The breakfast was delicious too. We loved how close the property was to the well maintained cliff path offering an easy stroll into town. Thoroughly recommend.”

“The room was beautiful and clean. The view of the ocean was stunning. We did not partake in breakfast so I cannot comment. The staff was pleasant but not prominent. We felt like it was more of an air bnb as opposed to a hotel. Very quiet after nightfall. Had good sleeps. Walk into town was about 7 minutes along the ocean walkway. Beautiful. Our main complaint was no labels on the wonderful lighting switches. You have spent a lot of money on beautiful lighting, it would be nice……
