3 Bed 2 Bath Sleeps 8 Next To Rifle Falls State Park & Rifle Mountain Park

Nestled in the canyon right next to RIFLE FALLS STATE PARK this unique property places you in the middle of an outdoor paradise. The park is a lush greenery with cascading waterfalls, mysterious limestone caves, wonderful trails, abundant wildlife, and great fishing. Continuing on upstream, past the fish hatchery,and on into the narrowing canyon is beautiful RIFLE MOUNTAIN PARK, full of creekside picnic tables, ice caves, and some of the best limestone sport climbing in North America. From there you enter the WHITE RIVER NATIONAL FOREST, 2.3 million square miles of wonderland. Downhill a few miles from the house is RIFLE GAP STATE PARK and HARVEY GAP STATE PARK, 2 clear reservoirs packed full of fun flat water activities. If you are not familiar with this area, I encourage you to check the map and Google it to discover what opportunities await you. For a dose of town, Glenwood Springs is just 26 miles away, Rifle 13 miles.
Sitting on 2.5 private acres this 1800 sq/ft home offers the perfect 3 couple or 2 family setup. Each of the 2 upstairs bedrooms has a king size bed and the large downstairs bedroom has 2 queens. The bedrooms do not share any wall or floor space for more privacy. There are 2 full bathrooms, one on each floor. Upstairs is the spacious fully equipped kitchen, breakfast nook, nicely furnished living room, and huge east facing deck. Downstairs is the cozy family room with a wood pellet stove, television, and dinning table for 8. There is Wi-Fi, and cell phone service. The front of the house is fenced in for your security with a shaded patio, large picnic table, and yard area. All towels and bedding are provided. We have highchairs and cribs if needed.

Perfect for Outdoor Enthusiasts
This home was just right for us. The location was perfect for our itinerary. Being able to walk from the home to Rifle Falls was a huge bonus for me. Tom is a great host with lots of local knowledge. Checking in and out was the easiest we've experienced in all our years using VRBO. Bottom line: If you like natural beauty, being outsoors, and close proximity to rivers, lakes, and streams, this is your place. If you're someone who wants high end, upscale amenities, you might want to look elsewhere. Should we ever return to Rifle, we would definitely stay here again.

Great location and plenty of room for our family hunting vacation. Very close to beautiful state park and lots of great hikes. Spacious home, internet stops working in the evenings so be prepared for that. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate returning for another visit.

Great Location
The house is so comfortable and inviting. Tom the host) met us at the property and helped with high chairs and gates he had stored on site. And gave us a tour. Books, games, dvds, and satellite for entertainment while at the house but there is no need to stay at the house! The location next to Rifle gap and falls is great. Trails on the property. Our only complaint was that we were only there for 2 nights. We could have stayed a week and been comfortable. Thank you Tom!

The house was clean. The beds and towels were new and very nice. The house was quiet and the road was quiet. The night sky was mind blowing from this house!! Absolutely loved it. Tom stopped in a little after our arrival and stayed and talked for a bit. Had some information on pretty cool local spots to check out. Would absolutely stay here again!

The owner met us at the property and gave us a tour. We couldn't believe how close it was to Rifle Falls. Property is well taken care of! We were in town for our daughter's wedding and it was the perfect spot!

Mountain Retreat
The property is back in the mountains near a river you can hear from the patios. It comfortably held five adults and three kids ranging from almost three to four months old. There were pack and plays, high chairs, and stair gates available at the property. The owner was very helpful about making sure the kids had what they needed. It is about a 30min to the nearest town which was a little difficult with the kids. The property was close to a lot of outdoor activities we all enjoyed. Overall I would recommend it.

Great Location
The location was really close to the entrance to Rifle Falls State Park. There are also 2 lakes nearby - Harvey Gap State Park and Rifle Gap Reservoir where you can boat, fish and swim. The kids loved the swimming beaches. The house perfectly met our needs and was well stocked. Tom was a great host! He gave us other ideas on kid friendly, close by activities.

Home accommodated 8 of us, 5 adults and 3 kids. Great location near Rifle Falls state park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Home was well stocked and owner checked in frequently to make sure our needs were met. Spacious bedrooms and two comfortable living areas. Home got very warm in the late afternoons. Evaporative cooler and fans did not really keep up with heat on the upper level. We had no cellular service and the Wi-Fi was slow making communications a bit of a challenge

Amazing Experience
I stayed at this beautiful creek side home for four nights while my daughter got married up the creek at the Rifle Park community house. It was perfect. I was close enough to town to get essentials for the wedding, and close enough to the venue to go back and forth as needed. As for the property and house itself- it was wonderful- the beds were so comfortable! The house was stocked with all the right amenities, but not cluttered or cramped. There was even an iron and ironing board for us to use! The outdoor areas at this house are great! A huge deck upstairs , and “outdoor kitchen” downstairs made our stay comfortable, fun, and relaxing, even with the stress of putting on a wedding. The house also provided a beautiful backdrop for “getting ready” wedding photos. It was a magical experience.

We spent 2 night's in this house and would highly recommend it. Perfect location, close to the parks, mountains, waterfalls, Glenwood Hot Springs, etc. the house was very comfortable, large, and had everything you could need, including a grill, and a cooler for your drinks on the patio. Don't hesitate to book, you won;t be disappointed!
