The villa, the farm, and the setting are absolutely stunning!!! We were a family of 12 and we stayed in the villa for 8 days/7 nights and it was fabulous. Our villa had its own private pool for cooling off, the property is set in the hills of Tuscany amidst vineyards and olive trees, and the views were amazing in every direction, and there were herbs, incredible plants, and fruit trees all around the grounds. Fattoria Santo Stefano has great wine and EVOO, which we were able to taste after our farm tour with our host Irena, who was very knowledgable in all operations of this working winery and olive farm. This was a perfect location for day trips around Tuscany, including trips to Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano, and even Cinque Terre! The small nearby villages of Greve in Chianti and Panzano have all you need in terms of groceries, banking, and basic supplies and even some nice little shops for traditional Italian goods (hand-painted ceramics) as well as a GREAT Macelleria where we were able to get all of our Tuscan meats for our antipasti dishes as we ate in the garden for lunch or at sunset! Agostino was great during our check-in and got us settled, including our welcome meal on our villa patio overlooking the Tuscan Sunset, as well as taking care of all of our needs all week long, no matter what was needed. Elena was a super host, able to answer any and all of our questions all week, took care of any requests we had, and was able to prepare several meals for us with traditional tuscan foods that were outstanding. The Villa is also big enough for a private cooking class which we booked, and we had a blast learning to cook traditional Tuscan food and meals, then had an amazing dinner in the gardens. The Villa itself had plenty of space, with 6 BRs, great kitchen, spacious living areas, and bathrooms, but honestly you will spend most of your time on the patio in the garden overlooking the pool, vineyards, and hills of Tuscany - the views are beyond words. The BRs are air-conditioned for comfortable sleeping at night as well. One recommendation for guests if you do stay, a car rental is a must - the villa is just far enough outside of any of the villages to require a vehicle for local travel, and will enable guests to tour Tuscany as they wish. Overall, we couldn't say enough about our experience there with the Bendinelli family, their villa, and all of its accommodations, including the superb service from Elena, Agostino, and Irena.
