Extremely Disappointing Experience I booked Raffles Executive Apartments in Guangzhou for September 13–19, 2026, but the conditions were so unacceptable that I could not stay pass 10 mins. I first spent about 30 minutes trying to locate the property because there was no visible Raffles Executive Apartments signage. The property I eventually found appeared to be known as Doria Home Hotel, which was confusing and concerning. Upon entering, the corridor smelled strongly of cigarette smoke despite being advertised as non-smoking. There was also a broken plant pot and debris in the hallway. The room was even more disappointing. There was visible dust on the refrigerator and storage areas, a wet bathroom floor, dirty marks on the bedding, and what appeared to be dried spit left on the window. The overall condition also did not match the photos I had seen when booking. I immediately raised my concerns at the lobby but was not offered a satisfactory solution. I could not comfortably stay under these conditions and had to leave and pay for alternative accommodation. This was not a change of mind—I arrived fully intending to stay. Based on the cleanliness, hygiene, maintenance, and lack of assistance I experienced, I would not stay at this property again. I have photographs documenting the conditions I encountered.

Consider yourself warned. So many things went wrong with this property. The name of the hotel is not Raffles Executive. Thats peoblem number 1. Please look into Star Residence ICC in Tianhe.

The apartment itself has all the amenities I need, the washing machine works well and I like the big projector screen. We watched some Chinese TV shows which was quite interesting experience. The location is opposite the river from the Canton Fair Venue. I would say it takes about 10 mins drive to get there. So it's still acceptable distance for me considering the price around that region that's crazy during this period of the year. However, the apartment is near some construction sites, which is an eyesore of the cityskyline. It is not very noisy to bo honest so bearable for me. The front desk girls are very friendly. Which has made my stay better.They were really helpful and helped me book a shuttle from Hong Kong Airport to the hotel, which has really saved my day since I was travelling with family and had tons of luggages. Therefore I give a 10 point for the service.
