Enter the historic center through the arch of the majestic East Gate, which is an iconic symbol of the city. Walk west for several minutes to reach the Hsinchu City God Temple, one of Taiwan’s most opulent temples. Marvel at its golden décor and traditional symbols. Hsinchu City Centre is in the heart of Hsinchu County in the northwestern corner of Taiwan. It stands at the meeting point of the North District, the East District and the Xiangshan District. Arrive at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and drive southwest for about 30 miles (50 kilometers) to reach the district in roughly 1 hour depending on traffic. Visit nearby attractions such as Taoyuan City Centre, the Daxi Old Street and the Old Nanliao Fishing Harbor.
