I was a patron for 10 months and each time i extended was charged the $30 cleaning fee, yet i cleaned my own room. I accumulated almost $2,000 in cleaning fees during my stay. My room was in need of repairs, along with other rooms. Born and raised here, worked at the original Treadway bute along with other community members felt it a disgrace on how the property inside and out was being cared for. Garbage strewn all over outside and no staff member taking care of any of it. Multiple mights i had to sleep without bedding because it was never returned to me after washing.staff was friendly, parking was plenty, and the place became more quiet, and safe in later months, as in the beginning there was traffic in and out, drugs, homeless having ability to get into building and sleep in empty rooms which made it feel unsafe. But the last 3-4 months things became quiet, and felt safe to be outside late at night with my dog.

The Marx hotel is so convenient being on Main Street. We have enjoyed the Saturday street market and entertainment on previous visits. This weekend we were staying for graduation and the front desk person paid attention when I checked in on Friday night that my son was graduating. When we came back to our room after graduation there was a very cute teddy bear in a graduation cap. It was even a boy bear. Super cute and very thoughtful of the hotel. I was impressed. We also enjoy The Marx for the good value and breakfast included. Thank you for all the stays over the years and this memorable graduation one!

Nice front desk staff, special travel rate for travelers that work for Guthrie Robert Packard Hospital. Very clean.
